Triton Tools introduces the Mini-Planer, model TMNPL, a portable power planer with two 2-3/8” reversable blades.
Weighing only five pounds and measuring 11-1/2” long, 6” high and 5-1/8” wide, it can be gripped for safe, single-handed operation for quick material removal and chamfering on cabinets, doors and similar applications, the company says.
“The Mini-Planer is powerful, it’s an ace to handle, and it includes all the features you would get in a traditional power planer. I call it a ‘lazy-man’s hand plane’ because it’s about the size of a hand plane, and with the dual 2-3/8” reversible blades, you’ve got the perfect combination of power and balance,” says Stas’ Kotula, North America business development manager for Toolstream Inc., a distributor of the Triton brand.
Features include a 450-watt motor, six-stop depth control, and right-side dust/chip extraction port, The front base has two ‘V’ chamfer grooves and there’s an automatic parking rest on the rear base to protect the blades when the tool is not in use.
The Triton Mini-Planer sells for about $90.
