Wood-Mizer has introduced the PC100 upcut saw to its machinery line for cross cutting a variety of material to length in high production wood manufacturing operations.
The saw offers up to 20 cut cycles per minute and features center material loading for working with longer material, according to the company.
“Sawmill, woodworking, and pallet operations will all appreciate the well-designed features of the PC100,” says Russell Fite, the sales director for Wood-Mizer North America.
Those design features include a segmented blade guard. “When the two-hand, no-tie down cutting cycle is activated, the upper blade guard automatically lowers and covers the front and sides of the blade during the cutting cycle,” the company explained. “Comparable machines with a mounted blade guard only allow material loading from the left or right side which makes processing longer material more difficult and time consuming.”
The 10-hp saw is available in single- or 3-phase options and with a left- or right-side blade configuration.
Other features include a 4” dust outlet and blow gun for easy cleanup.
The three-phase model starts at $10,795 with an 18”, 60-tooth blade. Optional equipment includes roller infeed/outfeed tables, adjustable board stops, and a gang stop for cutting multiple boards of the same length.
