Yeti Tool, maker of the SmartBench PrecisionPro large-format CNC router, introduces an upgraded PrecisionPro+ version.
Designed for those new to CNC routers, as well as those who prefer some assistance over working with manual router feeds and speeds, the PrecisionPro+ has a self-monitoring software feature called the Yeti Pilot which incorporates automated feeds and speeds within the router itself. This reduces the risk of human error, performs cutting more effectively, and minimizes material waste, according to the company.
“PrecisionPro+ is mainly a software update that adds artificial intelligence to the machine, so it’s getting feedback from all of the motors and has sensors everywhere. It optimizes your feeds and speeds. If you programmed it at 100 inches per minute, for example, it will see how much strain [is on] the spindle or the bit … and adjust the speed appropriately. That’s huge. There’s nothing else like it on the market,” says Eric Schiller, president Yeti Tool.
The PrecisionPro+ features a 120-volt, 1,000-watt spindle and digital speed control. It can process softwood and hardwood up to 6” thick, timber-based composite boards, and plastics. It has the capacity to process sheet goods up to 98.43” x 49.2”, edge to edge, and materials of any length in feed-through mode.
A touchscreen control panel walks users through step-by-step tasks and is compatible with imperial and metric measurements. The machine is portable and height adjustable.
The SmartBench PrecisionPro+ is selling for $10,900. For more, visit yetismartbench.com.
