The AWFS will highlight woodworking education in the new Higher Education Learning Pavilion and Education Town Hall presentations at the 2017 fair, scheduled for July 19-22 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

The pavilion will showcase post-secondary and other training programs in the fair’s machinery hall. The show is offering a limited number of complimentary booths at the pavilion to give program leaders a venue to network with the public.

The Education Town Hall, held on the AWFS Stage, will feature short presentations from program representatives. Schools that sign up in advance will have up to five minutes to explain their curriculum, facilities, equipment and other selling points. A moderated question-and-answer period will follow.

“AWFS strongly supports industry education programs, and these are two opportunities to showcase the great programs that are available,” AWFS executive vice president Angelo Gangone said in a statement. “High school students and teachers, as well as industry professionals, can benefit from learning more about these programs and how to engage with them.”
