Bora, a product division of Affinity Tool Works, unveiled a new combination square, two try squares and an adjustable sliding T-bevel.
The new combination square is ideal for joint layout, machine setup/checking, and level/plumb determination, and can also be used as a height, depth or marking gauge, according to the company. It features a smooth-sliding head and patented adjustable magnetic locking system. A hardened scriber and level are included. The square features a stainless-steel 12” reversible ruler with graduations in 1/16” and 1/32” increments, and a corrosion-resistant cast-zinc body.
The try squares, available in 8” and 12” models, feature four molded angle guides for 22-1/2, 45, 67-1/2 and 90 degrees. To prevent pivoting or shifting, the tools feature a stability ledge, allowing the ruler to be kept flat to the work piece. They are constructed of durable polyethylene and feature a stainless-steel ruler with 1/16” and 1/32” etched graduations.
The blade on the adjustable sliding T-bevelcan be set from any angle from 0 to 180 degrees for applications such as laying out dovetails, framing cuts and marking uncommon angles, according to the company. It includes a cylindrical vial for rough layout and leveling, and thumbscrew for fast, secure locking. It also features a molded plastic body with a built-in guide for setting 3/16” trim reveals, a stainless-steel blade and permanently etched 1/16” graduations.
