Granite State makers collaborate
New Hampshire Furniture Masters and League of New Hampshire Craftsmen have collaborated on a multi-media exhibit.
Members of the New Hampshire Furniture Masters and League of New Hampshire Craftsmen have collaborated on a multi-media exhibit, “Connecting Through Craft,” that will run through Dec. 14 in Concord, N.H.
Members of both groups paired up and spent four months learning about each other’s craft, then created pieces inspired by their artistic relationship and time together.
“We recognize the benefits of working together with another arts organization, and value this important partnership. And what has come out of these deep conversations between Furniture Masters and League members is truly inspirational work,” said Miriam Carter, the League’s executive director.
Founded in 1993, the New Hampshire Furniture Masters (furnituremasters.org) is a group of the state’s fine furniture makers. The League of New Hampshire Craftsmen (nhcrafts.org) has promoted fine craft and supported craftspeople for over 90 years.
