Rockler always has something in store (pun intended) and its latest promotion, the “Build it with Rockler” series, is aimed at helping beginning woodworkers improve their skills.
The series features several outdoor furniture projects, including an Adirondack chair, bar stools, footstool and side table. The retailer provides extensive instructional material, including complete plans, online videos and in-store demonstrations.
“Building new patio and deck furniture is the perfect way to welcome warmer weather,” Scott Ekman, Rockler’s vice president of marketing, said in a statement.
“Our ‘Build It with Rockler’s philosophy is to provide DIYers with detailed plans and a list of tools, hardware and materials so that once they start to build, they can continue straight through until they have a finished product. Our online skill-builder videos and in-store demos provide additional guidance for DIYers of all skill levels.”
The plans include templates and what’s called “foundation skills”, such as instructions for routing, cutting half-lap joints, and making tapered cuts with Rockler’s Taper Jig.
The plans are available from Rockler’s stores, website and print catalog.
